DUCATI WEEK 5

Solving camera track issues, putting everything together, and how we are moving forward.


This week was about getting the plate ready for my teammates. To help Stanley and Kyle with the animation and placement of the portal, I used proxy geometry to simulate where they needed to be in the Maya scene. It also helped reinforce the accuracy of the track and where all of the elements came together.



RENDERING AND SIZING ISSUES

When the final renders came in from my teammates, it was clear that something was wrong.

This is our test animation for shot one and shot two:




As you can see, the motorcycle went too slow, but the ending for shot two, was on the Ducati logo for the motorcycle.


However, when we went to render it, this is what it looked like:



The sizing of the motorcyle in shot two didn't work, nor did the portal placement. It might be the fault of a footage distortion or it might be the problem from a camera in Maya.

It is necessary to fix all of these elements to put a good comp together.
